Peter Huxtable

Peter has been Vicar here since March 2010. Previously he was vicar in Bestwood, Nottingham and a curate in Kidderminster. Before training for ordination, Peter lived in Beeston and worked in Nottingham in various IT-related jobs. Peter is married to Ruth with 3 children and also owns a golden retriever.

Peter says: “Stapleford Parish is a great place to be a vicar. In all the churches we are passionate about trying to show how relevant and exciting it is to link our lives with Jesus, and see that when we start living by the things he said and did, we discover a whole new dimension of living where we connect with the love of God at the core of our beings.” And it’s for everyone, at whatever age, whether we know one end of the Bible from the other or not”.

Peter also enjoys music making, concerts, cricket, caravanning, the countryside, travelling around the uk, films, sport, and listening to Radio 5 live.

Lydia Cartwrigjht

"I’m Lydia Cartwright. I’m a mum of three children and a lively border collie, and I am the wife of an outdoor instructor. I’m also a curate in Stapleford. I love travelling and exploring new places and I’m also quite keen on parties! I have known the transforming power of God at work in my life and I am passionate about sharing his love and grace with the rest of the world (well the rest of Stapleford at least!). Please do stop and have a chat if you see me out and about."

Simon Fellows

"I’m Simon Fellows, and I joined St Helen’s as Curate in the summer of 2017. I am married to Julia, and together we love to walk, travel, and try new exciting foods. I’m also a huge rugby fan and enjoy lots of different types of music. I became a Christian when I was 9, and have ever since, wanted to tell others about Jesus and His love for them. If you see me around, do stop and say hi."
