The church is the people of God, and we meet throughout the week in smaller
or larger groups. Do follow the links to get details of the activities mentioned.
Do join us on Mondays at our café in Washington Drive Community centre
at 10:00am, or in the Montrose Court Community Centre in the afternoon from
2:00pm. Most of our church business meetings take place on Monday evenings.
On Tuesday you may like to join with
parents and toddlers in the St Helen’s
Church hall from 9:30am or join the Alpha course which meets in the evening
at 7:00pm.
On Wednesdays we join to celebrate God in our 11:00am midweek service (BCP!)
and on alternate Wednesdays go on to enjoy lunch in the church hall (12:30pm)
followed by the Friendship Club
in the afternoon from 2:00pm. Several of our home groups
meet on Wednesday evenings in different homes around the parish.
Our
CYFA group meets tonight too.
Thursday 10:00am sees a small group of mums meeting to explore faith together
in the church hall. More of our home groups
meet in the evening at locations around the parish.
Fridays we rest! Unless you would like to join the
St Luke’s parent and toddler group
from 9:30am
Saturday once a month sees a group going out walking usually in the Peak District.
It is of course the day for weddings, and other occasional social activities.
We meet on Sundays to celebrate the week past and ask for God blessing over
the week to come. Do join us for our main services (CW) at 10:00am in the mornings
at St Helen’s or St Luke’s or in the evening at 6:30pm (informal
celebration) at St Helen’s. After the services tea coffee and light refreshments
are usually available and form an integral part of our church life.
